January 30 – Last weekend saw a fantastic Dancing on Ice show as
the contestants doubled up to perform in pairs without their
professional partners, which has bolstered Wolfenden and
Porter Dancing on Ice odds.
By the end of the show, it was clear why contestants Jorgie
Porter and Matthew Wolfenden are battling for top spot as the
all-out favourites to win the TV skating competition outright, as
each put on a spectacular performance.
Porter and Wolfenden's showdown was perhaps the most anticipated
of the night, since these two are constant favourites at UK land
and online sports betting sites to win this season of
Dancing on Ice.
Emmerdale star, Matthew Wolfenden's odds are currently 6/5 that
he'll win the competition, followed closely behind by Hollyoaks
actress Jorgie Porter with odds of 6/4.
The duo's routine resulted in one of the few split votes of the
night, with judge Katrina Witt opting to save Jorgie, while Robin
Cousins opted to save Matthew.
Complimenting Wolfenden, Cousins said: "Matt, you skate like a
skater. You act and lift your partner like a skater."
Witt, in the meantime, gushed over Jorgie Porter's performance
and said: "You have been magical and cute, but now so sexy and
that was so cool."
Third favourite, Chico was complimented for his "neat" footwork.
"Chico, there's such power and enthusiasm was contained," said
Cousins.
We'll be seeing more of Wolfenden and Porter Dancing on Ice next
week thanks to the judges' decisions.
Just 11 Contestants Remain in Dancing on Ice
There are now eleven contestants (and their
professional partners) still left in Dancing on Ice, and as we've
seen in previous seasons, anything can happen. Dancing On Ice
betting favourites have been voted off suddenly, while injuries
have caused many others to leave.
This week saw the latest celebrity, Corey Feldman
leave the show when he was voted off, losing his skate-off to
former Dallas star, Charlene Tilton, despite her 125/1 odds of
winning the competition.
After he was voted off, Feldman said: "It's been a
lot of fun, a tremendous experience."
