After a nerve wracking draw on Tuesday, when many believed that the
EuroMillions jackpot would finally be won, it was again revealed that nobody had
hit the jackpot.
As such, tonight's EuroMillions jackpot is a staggering £126
million, making it the largest pot since Colin and Chris Weir from North
Ayrshire won £161 million in July.
The EuroMillions jackpot has now rolled over a staggering 11 times,
and has not been hit since April 27th, when a Spanish player scooped £36.2
million.
Tuesday's draw saw six people each take home £266,500 after they
matched five main numbers and a lucky star. However, to win the top jackpot, a
ticket holder would have had to match five numbers and two lucky stars - which
means that nobody won the £106 million that was up for grabs.
Seven tickets won a third tier prize of £76,145 each for matching
four main numbers and two lucky stars.
All in all, there were more than 3,350,000 winners in Tuesday's
draw.
The winning numbers on Tuesday, June 5th draw were as follows: 13 -
34 - 37 - 47 - 49 and lucky stars 8 & 9.
Fly to the Moon with EuroMillions
The Belfast Times recently ran an article showing
potential EuroMillions winners what they'd be able to do with their millions.
"For winning .. could be enough to fly you to the moon - or take
over a top Premiership soccer club," the article read. "Future tourist trips to
the moon are expected to cost £65 million - about the same value as a
bottom-of-the-table Premiership Club such as Wigan and QPR"
The article also states that even if winners simply decide to
leave their millions lying in the bank, they'd be able to earn around £10,000 in
interest every single day.
