The Racing Post, one of Britain's most popular racing news and
betting papers has launched an iPad compatible mobile application,
bringing the latest news and betting options to it tablet users.
The daily application will be available from 8 pm on the evening
before the newspaper's publication. Reports and news will
complement sport and greyhound betting services which make the
Racing Post so popular among Britain's punters.
The Racing Post iPad application will also feature tips,
database, racecards and a results service.
To introduce players to this new service, the Racing Post iPad
app will be free for the first thirty days, after which time it
will be sold in the App Store for a monthly price of £24.99
or £1.99 daily.
New Features in Racing Post App
The Racing Post was excited about its latest launch, and the
group's Chief Executive, Alan Byrne spoke this week about the
enhanced mobile offering.
"This dynamic, beautifully designed iPad app will transform the
way in which our customers access our content," he said.
"The Racing Post app combines the fantastic reading experience
offered by the iPad with our unrivalled coverage of racing and
sports betting."
"In addition," said Byrne, "we have worked hard to incorporate
some new features and functionality into the app which we are sure
will surprise and delight our customers. We have listened to our
readers and many of the new features, including the Organiser,
have been built as a direct response to customer feedback."
He said that one of the main benefits of the iPad app was that it
was available the evening before the paper is published.
As such, he said, "readers will have time to read the latest
news, study the form and review our tipping content in a leisurely
fashion."
The Racing Post Since 1986
Founded in 1986 by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as a
rival to the publication, Sporting Life, the Racing Post
provides British punters with daily news about horse racing,
greyhound racing and sports betting options.
This year, the publication sponsored the Grade I Arkle Challenge
Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival for the first time.
The new iPad application will enhance awareness of the brand and
bring more information and betting opportunities to new and
regular users.
