Sussex Versus Hampshire In Clydesdale Cricket
Of the four semi finalists in this year's Clydesdale Bank 40 cricket series,
Sussex is the only team that figured in last year's competition as well. In 2011
Sussex lost in the semi finals and will be aiming to go at least one step ahead
this year.
As such, Sussex is favoured in Clydesdale Bank 40 in terms of betting,
having reached the semi finals by finishing at the too of Group C, whereas
Hampshire has topped Group B. Luke Wright has been the mainstay of Sussex right
throughout this season of Clydesdale bank 40. He has scored 296 runs at a strike
rate of over 100 and much will be expected from him.
Wicketkeeper Matt Prior has also joined the team after the Test series
against South Africa. It was through his heroics that Sussex won the last game
and entered the semi finals. Prior has not been selected for the England ODI and
T20 squad and has a point to prove.
Sussex is the favourite team. The online betting site Bet365 has offered odds
of 4/6 on Sussex winning, whereas the odds on Hampshire are 6/5.
Lancashire vs Warwickshire in Clydesdale Bank
Lancashire has entered the semi finals by topping Group A. Warwickshire
gained entry by securing the highest points amongst the second teams in each
group. Actually they had tied with Kent in Group C, but went through on account
of winning more games.
Lancashire does not boast of any big international players. They have been
powered by Croft and Moore, who have played all games and have scored a massive
number of runs at a brisk strike rate.
Bell and Trott both represent Warwickshire and have performed well in the few
games that they have played. But now they are on national duty against South
Africa and Warwickshire will have to make do without them.
In this semi final Lancashire is the favourite team at Bet365 online. The
odds for Lancashire winning are 8/13, whereas the odds for Warwickshire winning
are 13/10.
Bet365 online also offers odds for the outright winner of the Clydesdale Bank
40 cricket tournament. These are as follows.
Sussex 2/1
Lancashire 9/4
Hampshire 10/3
Warwickshire 15/4
