UK online betting exchange Betfair, has launched a bold new advertising and
marketing campaign called 'huge'.
The gaming group said that it was keen to make its product stand out and was
therefore spending a seven figure sum on the new Betfair advertising campaign,
which will be rolled out on major channels such as ESPN, Sky Sports and British
Eurosports.
Terrestrial channels in the UK will also feature the new Betfair ads,
including Channel 4 and Channel 5. In this way, Betfair hopes to widen the
campaign's appeal to as broad an audience as possible.
Increased Online Gambling Competition
The Director of Betfair in Ireland and the United Kingdom, Peter Marcus,
spoke about the need to launch such a widespread marketing campaign.
"The online casino market place is becoming increasingly cluttered and we
wanted something to set us apart from the crowd," he said. "The big and bold
creative makes an immediate impact and is a significant departure from what our
competitors are doing."
The marketing campaign will incorporate TV ads, search marketing, mobile and
online displayers and well as customer communications, across all platforms.
"I'm confident these adverts can drive new customers to our casino and that
our updated product will keep gamers entertained for a long while," added
Marcus.
New Betfair Casino Ad
The new Betfair casino ad features huge lemons, huge playing
cards and huge cherries - all in keeping with the 'huge' theme of the marketing
campaign.
The voiceover on the ad says: "When one of the world's biggest
online betting companies brings you an online casino, you expect something huge.
Huge slot games. Huge blackjack and huge roulette. Not to mention some of the
biggest payouts around. As for the live dealers - well, you get the idea. And
