This week's Premier League Snooker games will be played at
the Malvern Theatre in Malvern, Worcestershire. This will be the first time
Premier League Snooker has been played at Malvern since 2009.
Two matches will be played on Thursday October 11. The Group A game is
between Mark Selby and Ding Junhui. The Group B game is between John Higgins and
Stephen Lee.
The current Premier League Snooker betting favourite is Judd Trump from Group
B, who has won both his games so far. But all eyes will be on the highly
anticipated Selby vs Junhui matchup.
Selby Versus Junhui In Premier League Snooker
Mark Selby entered the Premier League Snooker as the top ranked player in the
world. This will be the second game for Selby in the snooker tournament and an
important game for him to win. He lost his first game to Neil Robertson and
desperately has to make amends. Junhui has played two games out of which he has
won one and lost the other. Therefore this game is equally important to him.
Selby did not exude 100% confidence in an interview given to the Worcester
Standard. At the outset he praised the Premier League as being one of the best
events in the snooker calendar. It pitted the best snooker professionals against
each other every week. Therefore the Premier League events always drew big
crowds. Selby was sure of a huge turnout at Malvern as well.
Selby said that he needed to win at Malvern to give himself a chance of
getting into the top two of Group A. But he added that it would be difficult
because Junhui is a class player. Selby concluded, "The aim for me this season
is to try to win more titles and stay at the top of the rankings for as long as
possible and winning the Premier League would be really nice."
The Selby versus Junhui match will be one of the most exciting in the Premier
League Snooker so far. The online betting site Bet365 has not be declared a
favourite but has given both players the same odds of 13/8. The odds for a draw
are 2/1.
Premier League Snooker Winner Odds
In terms of the Premier League Snooker outright winner odds on offer, neither
Selby nor Junhui are the top favourite to win the Premier League Snooker at this
juncture.
As mentioned above, that honour belongs to Judd Trump. Bet365 has posted odds
of 15/8 for his winning the tournament. Next is Neil Robertson who has won both
his Group A games. Robertson has been given odds of 4/1. The complete list of
