Wayne and Coleen Rooney couldn't have timed it better. As soccer season
kicked off this month, they announced their good news: Coleen is due to give
birth to their second child in May next year.
Novelty punters have until then to wager on their favourite Manchester player
in a different way - by guessing the name of the next Rooney junior.
The couple already have a 3 year old son, Kai, who also triggered betting
frenzy at top UK sports betting sites until he was born at Liverpool Women's
Hospital in November 2009.
Bet on Rooney Baby Name
The current market open on the Rooney baby is its name, offered at sites such
as Irish land and online betting group, Paddy Power.
While the couple haven't found out the sex of the child yet, with Coleen only
in her first trimester, it seems that Paddy Power is sure the baby is a girl,
with Coleen being its favourite name with odds of 9/1.
But daddy Rooney shouldn't feel too left out, as he shares second favourite
spot on the list with Thomas and Colette at odds of 10/1.
Odds go as deep as 500/1 on the name Jennifer, which the missus may not be
too happy to call her unborn daughter, considering that Rooney allegedly paid
hooker 'Juicy Jenny' for her services while she was pregnant with their son.
Another option with long odds, which we found amusing, was Wayleen at 250/1.
