The organisers of the 2012 Aviva Premiership Rugby have released a
statement that attendances have gone up tremendously this season. And they are
set to skyrocket in Round 7 of the championship because some of the top of the
table teams will face each other.
Northampton Saints Versus Saracens In Premiership Rugby
On Saturday October 27 Northampton Saints will host the Saracens at
Franklin's Gardens. Northampton Saints are at the top of the table with 22
points and Saracens are in fourth place but with 20 points. A win for the
Saracens could catapult them to the top of the table. Both teams are in awesome
form. The Saints have been undefeated at home in their last five encounters. On
the other hand Saracens have just lost a single game in any rugby competition
this season.
Saracens fans will be holding their traditional Gathering before the match in
the car park at Franklin's Gardens. The action will begin just after noon and
there will be giveaways, drinks and plenty of nibbles. The fans will march
together to the ground to welcome the Saracens team.
Coming to the actual game, the predictions are that it will be a tight
affair. The online betting site Paddy Power has given Northampton Saints a
slight advantage probably because they are the home team. The odds for the
Saints winning are 4/5 and the odds for Saracens winning are 1/1. The odds for a
draw are 18/1.
Gloucester Rugby Versus Tigers In Premiership Rugby
Also on Saturday October 27 Gloucester Rugby will take on Leicester Tigers.
The venue is Kingsholm, which is the home ground of Gloucester Rugby. These two
teams are even closer on the pool table. Leicester Tigers is in third place with
20 points, while Gloucester Rugby is in fifth place with 19 points. The past
performance definitely shows the Tigers as the better team and therefore they
have the shorter odds at Paddy Power online. The odds for Leicester Tigers
winning are 4/6, while the odds for Gloucester Rugby winning are 5/4. The odds
for a draw are 20/1.
Rugby Director Nigel Davies feels that his team can defeat the Tigers
provided they do not make the mistakes they have been making this season. His
message to the team is to remain error free in order to win.
Gloucester Rugby has been successful despite not playing to their potential
because they have been up against the weaker teams, except for their first game
against the Saints. Now they will be meeting the big boys and will need to pull
up their socks.
