The next US Presidential elections will take place the week of August 27, 2012. This page contains live odds for the presidential race, including the overall winner and party candidates.

According the US legislation, President Barack Obama is eligible for a second term. It is very unlikely that any other candidate will be nominated by the Democrats for the 2012 elections. In fact, since 1972, every incumbent President eligible for re-election was the default party nominee. The current bookmakers odds certainly seem to foresee this being the case with Obama, even though the President faces increased pressure over issues such as the War in Afghanistan as well as healthcare reform.

Obama has studiously avoided questions over the 2012 election but there can be no doubt that his advisor will be working towards the 2012 campaign.

It comes as no surprise that Obama is the overwhelming favorite to win the election. The really interesting betting market is that of Republican nominee. According to a CNN poll (at the time of writing this article), the front runners were Mitch Romney, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin, in that order with the narrowest of margins between them.

The so-called Swing States of Florida, Iowa, Nevada and Ohio may yet play there part and time will tell how much of a possible influence they may have.

Below are the latest Presidential winning odds, party winning odds as well as odds for the party nominees.
