Technical Systems Testing - TST

Technical Systems Testing (TST) was founded in 1993 and is a globally recognised testing facility for the iGaming and landbased gaming markets. With facilities in Canada, England, the Netherlands, Italy, Macau, the Philippines and Australia, TST's labs work hand in hand with land and online gambling stakeholders such as operators, software providers and developers, and regulators that oversee gambling jurisdictions. Every one of TST's testing projects is unique, and at the end of the process TST provides clients with letters that summarize the scope of the testing. TST has four main divisions: iGaming, Landbased, Systems Security and Consultation:

Its iGaming division is a pioneer in the field of iGaming testing and consulting. In fact, its labs certified the first ever live interactive gaming systems in the online gambling jurisdictions of Alderney, the UK, the Isle of Man and First Cagayan (the Philippines). It also certified the first ever online provincial lotteries in Canada. The iGaming division works closely with online, mobile and TV companies and includes iGaming compliance testing which entails Random Number Generator (RNG) evaluations, Ongoing RNG or Game Payout verification and reporting, Live Dealer, Sportsbook or Betting Exchange evaluations, Quality Assurance and more. All of TST's iGaming services are backed up by Quality Assurance and Transfers of Approval.

TST's Landbased division TST offers a wide range of testing services to the Landbased gaming industry. It works with government regulatory bodies to help them improve their technical standards to ensure they meet and even exceed the best in the gaming industry. TST achieves this through stringent compliance testing that ensures all landbased electronic gaming devices (EGMs), slots and video lottery terminals (VLTs) and so on operate fairly and in line with the regulatory policies of the jurisdictions in which they are licensed. TST's landbased compliance testing includes Hardware evaluations, Software evaluations, Random Number Generator (RNG) evaluations, Field Data Analysis and more. TST's landbased services are also backed by Quality Assurance and Transfers of Approval.

The firm's Systems Security division conducts security evaluations that are designed to ensure that the information held by its clients remains safe and confidential at all times. It achieves this by identifying possible weaknesses or vulnerabilities by conducting stringent Compliance Testing, Penetration Testing and Security Audits that are based on industry best practice information security standards and guidelines. These provide a common basis for developing effective security management practices, and often include assessments of Administrative Controls, Technical Controls, Jackpot Controllers, Communication evaluations and more.

TST's Consultation division services all levels of the gaming and information technology (IT) industries and is experienced in compiling and updating complex Technical Standards Documents (TSDs) for gambling jurisdictions. These services amalgamate TST's widespread gaming and practical experience with the development and implementation of gaming technical standards and regulations. It achieves this via a team of technical experts who consult with software, hardware and random number generators (RNGs) developers to ensure they are in compliance with their respective gambling jurisdictions. This division also provides expert witness research, opinions and testimony for stakeholders in the gaming and IT industries.
