New Zealand Cricket Betting Preview
New Zealand have performed admirably in past cricket world cups, displaying the battling qualities for which the Black Caps have become renowned. But they seem outclassed in this tournament and it will come as a great surprise if they are able to advance to the semi-final stage this time.
Last year New Zealand toured India and Bangladesh, and also played Sri Lanka in a Tri-series. They had their little black hats handed to them repeatedly, going down 0-4 to Bangladesh before being humiliated by India in a ODI series, losing that 0-5. New Zealand couldn't get within 40 runs or 5 wickets of India, succumbing to five heavy defeats.
If New Zealand cannot compete with Bangladesh it seems unlikely that they will be able to deal with the other two co-hosts, and then throw in Australia, England and South Africa and you're looking at this team simply making up the numbers this year. They do have some big bats at their disposal, and Vettori is a wonderful bowling option on these wickets, but the team lacks depth right now and will need a lot of luck to advance in the knock-out stages.
